International Circulation: Do you think it is possible to establish a score system like the CHAD score system?
Win-Kuang Shen: Establishing a score system in the general public will really be very difficult. The risk score for sudden death in patients at a higher risk is hard. We have ejection fraction, heart rate variability, and late potential of signal averages on ECG but sudden death is different from syncope and from atrial fibrillation. We have an adequate score system that is good enough for atrial fibrillation, stroke and syncope but I don’t think there is ever going to be a good enough score system for sudden death because it only happens once.
